I use LR CC Classic and PS. LR does all the photos. PS gets about 10%, which are then returned to LR.

Right now I use Photoshop CC but don't use Lightroom as I hate having to import the pictures before working on them. I used CS2 for a long time until I bought the Nikon Df which the Camera Raw for CS2 wouldn't open. I initially convert the NEF to DNG and then use the Camera Raw. Later on I use Nikon NX-2 to do the RAW conversion to TIFF then work on the TIFF with CS2. I now got the Photoshop CC but still often use the NX-2 for converting to JPEG without further editing.

Long time user of Lightroom, Photoshop and misc plugins. I just upgraded my computer so I've just upgraded everything to Lightroom Classic CC, Photoshop CC, Bridge CC. I have stared playing with Affinity Photo also which seems to be allot like photoshop and even better in some ways but has different way of navigating the program that has a learning curve. Affinity is pretty cheap for what it does also.

I am just wondering what people are using to process their photos. For myself I use Lightroom 2 (mostly because I was told to pick something and stick with it) and then Photoshop CS3. Please let me know what you use!...Julian

A question about Affinity...has anyone in the group seriously looked at it, used it, hated it, loved it? The promos seem to show a lot of capabilities, with the warning that it is complex (sound like Creative Cloud?)

I use it along with PS and Bridge... I like it a lot. Learning curve but if you know PS, it’s not bad at all. The beauty of Affinity is you don’t keep paying for it every month forever. It’s close enough to PS that it’s navigable.

Plenty of support and videos. Inexpensive enough to just buy and try.

One big Affinity advantage is it is a new engine not cobbled together like PS ancient software mixed with current generation tech. Affinity is 100% all new tech.

Photo Shop Elements 14. I especially like Adobe Camera RAW.

I have started playing with it. I think it's quite good - specially at that price line.
