The GBH and the Green Heron did well. Lots of debris and early morning shadows. Most of the time they had their backs to me and it took over two hours before getting any opportunities.
Nice to hear from you! This is from the swamp in Windham off Rt 6. There were seven active nests and 23 kids. Kathy enjoyed it because I go alone for three plus hours at a time! Most are gone now and my osprey monitoring duties will end in the next few weeks.
Nice day for catching frogs and fish if you're a bird.
It started out pretty well fogged in at 6am and gradually improved, but the rising sun moves across from left to right and creates lots of shadows and the window of opportunity is limited. Normally I go after 4pm.
The light is better as this one faces the seting sun.
Thank you for looking! Occasionally shooting by myself is quite peaceful and makes for better concentration. It is also great deal for those that don't have to listen to me!
