Swamp shots of breakfast.

The GBH and the Green Heron did well. Lots of debris and early morning shadows. Most of the time they had their backs to me and it took over two hours before getting any opportunities.

nice shots, the first one reminds me of a cartoon I've seen, "the last defiant act" of a mouse flipping off the eagle closing in for the kill..........can't see the frogs other "hand" so.............

He very may have! This went on for about ten minutes. The heron dunked him several times and then shook and squeezed each time. I shall omit further observations.

My wife keeps suggesting a trip, but we're doing the harder trips first while we still have a little bounce in our step!

That seems to make sense to me too. The city isn't going anywhere and you can do the harder trips while there is still gas in the tank:)

I often see them fly back to the nest and regurgitate their catches for the young. The frog legs might be okay.
