I drove up twice by myself when I was younger. The first time in the early 60tis, by that time it was sort of a gamble, but now the highway is paved, no problem. I always prefer to go alone, once I took a friend with me, we flew up, after a week we didn't even talk to each other anymore, what can you say if someone says: Why do you want to take a picture of that mountain, you see one mountain you have seen them all. We are talking again.

Idont know what it is, because i see it for way to many months every year,,but i LOVE snow pictures, and that one you have is gorgeous!
