Can you see any of the RAW photos you took when you transfer them to your computer? You'll need software to process RAW photos. You should still see preview versions though.

By saying "Scandisk" you mean "Sandisk"? Scandisk is a computer program that checks hard drives for errors. You should be able to use Scandisk to check your Sandisk.

Oh I didn't know about scandisk referring to anything else. This is the small sandisk card that goes into your camera to record the pictures taken. And I spelled it wrong. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm glad you finally got the spelling right because I had to read quite a bit of these threads before realizing we were talking about Sandisk and not something that I've never heard of call scandisk.

In any case, are you sure it said 64k or 64mb or 64Gb. This makes a huge difference. 64k is kilobytes and is nowhere near the size that any picture on a modern camera could be. So if it were 64k then I'd say format it and forget it. Sometimes when a camera formats a card, it creates folders which could account for the 64k being used up on a card.

I had a problem with getting my pictures onto the computer, it turned out to be the card reading program in the computer itself. It had to be deleted and re-installed. I had help with this.

Yes, first off, SCANDISK or SANDISK? Nothing alike!

Wow, Scandisk is still a utility? I remember that from the DOS days and up thru Windows 98SE.

There's no need for that.

Hi everyone, I new to shooting with manuel setting. Due to a disability I'm trying to retrain as a Real Estate photographer. It's something that I can physically do. I've had the PS CC training, and read everything I can and watched these videos. So I actually have many questions. But right now my question is about the scandisk. I don't know if I have anything on it for sure. It says I do but I can't get any pictures to show up,. It's indicates no images. So I thought I'd reformat the disk. That's where it says 160 KB. Don't know what to do. Nothing transfers. Any suggestions out there? Thanks for reading.
Hi everyone, I new to shooting with manuel setting... (show quote)

What camera and lenses do you have? Have you ever used a digital camera before? When you say you're "new to shooting with manual setting" I'm wondering whether your definition of manual is the same as ours. Manual means you will be explicitly setting the aperture, shutter speed and ISO independently of each other. Since you mentioned PSCC can we assume you are shooting in raw format? I'm asking all this because the nature of your questions about your SD card gives me the impression you may have little or no experience with your camera or digital photography. If so, we will need to tailor our responses and use of terminology to your knowledge and experience level.

I gather from the initial post that they are shooting in raw. I'm unsure if they're able to read the image file on their system, or whether they can edit the photos shot in RAW.

You might think that, but I'm not as confident. The nature of his responses is giving me the impression that he has very little knowledge about digital photography. I hope I'm wrong, but if I'm not we need to tailor our responses to him.

It's actually in the second post from the OP, not the first as I initially said. Maybe three or four comments in. I do think you're correct about them being a real starter, and the language barrier isn't helping.

Have you tried viewing the photos in your camera? Were they appearing in a preview style as you too them? Repeating an earlier question... What camera?
