I have LR 6.13. When I export as 4x6's I always apply a watermark that I have previously set up. I recently did a large number of images and all went well. Now I'm going back and adding to those exports, doing individual files. The watermark won't apply. I've shut down LR and reopened it. Still nothing. I've unclicked and reclicked the watermark. Nothing. Any clues as to how to get it to work again?
Are you overwriting / not overwriting the existing file?
Are you using a new export present?
Did you change the watermark or are you using the existing setting?
Did you change the target output location and you're not opening the correct file?
Can you simply repeat the export for an image the last time a watermark was applied successfully? What happens now?
Do you have the file explorer open at the end of the export so you can see the newly created file?
You're likely doing / not doing something subtle and not realizing it.

Thanks for responding so quickly. I'm doing a new export. I am deliberately not overwriting the existing file. I have not changed the watermark. I have tried putting it in the same folder and putting it in a different folder. Your question as to repeating an export, I have done that. The new export does NOT carry the watermark. I do not have file explorer open automatically, but I've been going there immediately to see what happens.
I just totally shut down the computer. When it came back up, I reopened LR and tried again. Still no watermark. I'm going to try a different watermark and see what happens.
Well, I tried an old watermark, and that didn't work either. So it's the watermarking process that's apparently gone south. HELP!
Try a screen print of your export settings, maybe the watermark definition too. Be sure to store the attachments so the details can be viewed at 100% in the download.

Hummmm. I'm not sure I know how to do that. I've done it before, and I recall it was complicated.
OK. I found them. There were in my Dropbox file! Here they are. I had to do 3 shots to get the entire export screen. The last one is of the watermark itself.
Is Guatami a supported font? When I first started working with watermarks in LR, I followed the instructions exactly. But, I had selected a font that wasn't supported by LR and / or the fonts available on my system. I don't remember where, but google lead me to a discussion of this issue. That would be my first guess from your screen prints and remotely looking at your problem. Do you have images with this 2018 Small Italic in Gautami watermark successfully applied?
You might also update the Post Processing action to Show in Explorer, just to assure you're looking at file _V2A1238.jpg in subfolder "For Hoffeckers" and not some other version of the image.

I have used that same watermark on thousands of images just fine until yesterday. And I know I'm looking at the correct file in the correct folder. I deliberately set explorer to NOT go there because it was drastically slowing the process when exporting large batches.

I notice you are exporting to the same folder as the original. I've never done that, and am considering the ramifications of doing such. Not saying it is an issue! Just not sure.
Interesting dilemma.

It opens a window when the entire process is done. My suggestion was troubleshooting even though it would not have an impact on the export speed of 1 to infinity images. I do not think your software, used by millions, is broken. Rather, you've most likely done something subtle and unnoticed. Opening the folder at the end of the export to see exactly the file created and where the file was created might help you discover the subtle change you've made.

But you notice it's into a subfolder? I've always done that.

I understand your reasoning. But I know I'm looking at the correct file. The only other copy of that image is the raw file.
What's interesting is that I have these settings saved. I have two saved export settings. One is for 4x6 jpegs the the other is for full-sized TIFFs. I've used these settings for years without a problem. The only thing changed here was the name of the subfolder.
For what it’s worth I always create a sub-folder called “output files” under my photo shoot folders. I put the exported retouched versions in the output files folder with “_LRout” or “_LRed1”, “LRed2”, etc added to the exported images file names.

I tried that for a couple of times and decided against it. Glad it works for you.
