Once again, I say: If it looks to good to be true, it isn't true! There's always a catch.

Its Allen's Camera, B&H or Adorama for me. NO ONE else even comes close!
They were at one time in Maine(Having been a reborn NY shady company) and they eventually got chased out of Maine from the BBB and attorney general.

Over the last couple years I’ve steadily upgraded all my camera gear and each time when pricing around Abe’s admitted they sold Grey market equipment. As others have done, I recommend B&H too.

Found a new camera store on internet located in N.J. called Abe' s of Maine. Need your opinion about this company. According to the website has been around since 1979 and is cheaper than B&H on Camera Equipment. My other son wants to spend over $10,000 on Camera Equipment and found a Sony a7rii for $500.00 cheaper at Abe's vs B&H. I know the old saying you pay for what you get. Abe's is also selling a 6 year drop replacement policy 100% $599.99 Sounds too good to be true. This is wht l am asking before he spends his hard earn cash and gets what he pays for!

So now that the whole world has chimed in with recommendations, do we get to find what your son spent $10,000. on? I'm intrigued!
Most (good deals) are gray,I don’t think they are any better than 42nd street. As for drop protection, please contact your home owners ins.co.I have $8,000 worth of camera equipment covered for loss, theft, drops and accidental damage for about $80.00 per year.Thats cheap.I am sure more people should look into this. Please buy from reputable companies.Good Luck
Abe's has been around for years. Good reputation. Kind of like Sammy's in LA.
I have been researching bridge cameras on line for a while now and I am on information overload, so I need to go to a brick and mortar store to actually hold the cameras, I also want their input. the answer i am looking for now has anyone used the Dodd Camera store in Mentor Ohio, I did not see their name mentioned here. Their prices are in line with Amazon and a few others I checked, but I do not know what their reputation is.

Stay Away from Abe's unless you want to give away your money! If you want to buy online suggest you look to ABC (Adorama, B&H, Cameta) and throw in KEH for used equipment. If you are in NJ, look at Unique Photo on Rt 46 in Fairfield or Bergen Photo in Westwood and both ship as well
I’ll second what is said here for these shops. Good customer service and very knowledgeable staff.

I use the Dodd Camera on E 30th in Cleveland quite frequently for film developing. The staff are pretty knowledgeable and the company has been in business as a whole for over 100 years. I don't have personal experience with the Mentor location, but I would think they are worth a visit.
I would try Roberts in Indianapolis. I have dealt with them for years and they are honest, and have wonderful service. Abe's has always had bad reviews

In typical UHH fashion, I wonder how many more pages members will fill up with their own recommendations, EVEN THOUGH THE OP REPLIED ON PAGE 2 THAT AN ORDER WAS ALREADY PLACED WITH B&H
If it needs saying, better say it 102 times?
