Which one of these boaters would you guess is the stupid one?
Boat on the left would be my guess.
I would also guess the boat on the right is going the fastest!
not enough data for solution … where is the nearest sheltered anchorage? What's the bottom right next to the beach at this inlet?
Perhaps all of them are less than brilliant. Why are they out in boats with a sky like that? Of course, I know nothing whatever about boats, except that they can sink. I'm strictly a terrestrial vertebrate!
The one on the left since he's headed towards the storm. Unless he's got a specific shelter he's headed for that he knows he'll get to before the storm gets to him.
Can not see any infraction from eather ,the water is not rough ,there is no colour channel markers around ,there going to
Pass on the right of each other ,are you refusing to potential lightening from the clouds, that is not a given ,two small to see if there
Waring life savers ,they may have the small ones which blow up when you pull a string , so it may be you, are the answer to your own
Question .
The safe harbor is on the left of this picture as you can see shoreline at the top left. Storm was projected to have 34+ knot winds and 1/4" hail.
Plus lighting you cannot see in this picture that came very close to where I was staying. It got my attention.

The one on the right for sure, look close. He has a skier he is pulling. Dumb-ass. Thanks

That skier looks like a sign to me as it is to the side of the boat’s wake. That is how it looks to me.

Of the seven boats in the picture only ONE is going to the left. Does he/she know something the others don't? I doubt it.
My guess would be the one (left) heading out to sea in what appears to be increasingly bad weather. The boat on the right would appear to be heading towards safe harbor.
