My experience is the lens cap. Second is not thinking. I'm about to go digital. Trying to imagine settings on a none film camera. Any suggestions on a good DSLR?

I signed up because of this topic and am disappointed that it is not addressed and the joke answers aren't funny. If I don't see the real answer soon, I am cancelling. I hate being mislead.

You just signed up and posted a single post and you already have an attitude? Wow! I guess we better get you that answer really soon before you make good on your threat and leave us. There is no one setting that ruins your pictures.

That was a come on to bring people to the site. I guess they meant it to be representative of the kind of information discussed here, but previous people have gotten upset the answers are not easily found. Now you just have to look around the site and see if it is something useful to you.

Then why say there is? I just thought it would be interesting what someone thought was the most important setting on a camera. If it was just a ruse to get people to sign up, then I don't get it. I guess it just another click bait scheme. Bye.

I don't think it is a very good tactic on the part of the site administration to get people here. But you can't judge the site entirely by that. If you don't want to explore and see if you like it here, then bye.

Leaving the camera "setting" on your table at home.

Are you suggesting that admin set up this thread with no posts in it? In any case the person you responded to seems to have unrealistic expectations about this site, not to mention this thread, if he's already threatening to leave us after a single post.

The OP came here because of admin's promo on the internet to bring people here with a question, and then they find out there is no answer available. The person I replied to apparently also came here to get the answer to the question and couldn't find it. It seems admin is giving people the unrealistic expectations.

It was the somewhat nasty and threatening tone of his very first post that I found disturbing.

I wish I could find the setting on my Nikon D5300 that would never let the aperture shoot at less than F16. I lose so many photos due to it insisting that I shoot at f5.6 if i put it in automatic mode with my telephoto

What is the problem with f/5.6? What do you shoot that always requires f/16?

So you came back just to complain? That's a great use of your time.
