That probably was one gorgeous house in it's day. Very nice capture of it.

I went to high school in Slippery Rock. Where did you take these pictures?

Every time I aim my camera at an abandoned or crumbling structure I cannot help but think of the people who were there at the beginning. Who put the first shovel in the dirt? Who laid the first brick? Were they excited about the venture or weary before they began? If these falling walls could speak what story would they tell? A tale of hope and love? A saga of struggle and pain? How did this relic of days past come to be? Ah well.....ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

Awesome set.

Great shots-I enjoy taking shots of old houses, barns and buildings that people and time have forgotten.

Well done photos. I think the first house looks like the Norman Bates estate.

Quite lovely images and very well taken. The first one reminds me of the house on the movie Psycho "Bates Motel" so whatever you do, don't go upstairs!

Very good, if only historical objects could talk.

Awesome images. I’ve been drawn to abandoned houses since I was a kid and definitely should NOT have been exploring them.

Yes, they are all located in western Pa. Coudersport, Butler, Foxburg and Punxsutawney. You will have a wider range than we do around here. I would really enjoy seeing some of the places you found.

Times like these I would be well served using Lightroom. It just came along too late. I did locate a couple from PA. Same place with a four year interim and a similar view. A couple from Bethlehem Steel on a day with horrid lighting. The second just prior to being invited to leave by Homeland Security. A couple of others in CT. Urban style.

On Sikorsky property. Abandoned but not sure how long.

Wonderful shots. I have those same thoughts when I see these kind of places. So much is lost to time.
