I always call the UPS brown trucks, Buster Brown. You will notice that their trucks are washed before they go out in the morning. They all have Black Wheels. And the brand name of the truck has been removed.

When I was young, many years ago, the big brown truck was the vehicle that came round at night to empty the bog bucket (latrine) before the days of flush toilets. No wonder I got the wrong idea on UHH, try reading the posts in that context ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜

Why do folks use the term โ€œbig brown truckโ€ instead of UPS? The former takes fifteen characters to type, including spaces, while the latter takes only three. No one seems to have a problem with typing FexEx; I have never seen it called โ€œbig white truck.โ€ Think about it.

There, now I have completed my English teacher rant for the day.

Maybe they should use BBT or the BBFT or BFBT, that might be better and keep everybody happy.

YES - The anticipation of "getting the package" no matter what it is delivered with. pure joyful anticipation.

"Big Brown Truck" doesn't take that much more time to type, and carries with it the excitement possibly voiced by a child at Christmas anticipating Santa's "Big Red Sleigh" carrying goodies on their way...

I have never claimed to be a typist, but being an ex-English teacher, I am a big believer in proofreading, so shame on me.

We used to have a lovely chocolate Labrador Retriever, who was very dominant; the catchphrase around home was, โ€œWhat can YOU do for Brown?โ€

First I'd type FEDEX. If Ups and FedEx ever merged we could call them FedUp.
