I myself don't like "The big brown truck or UPS or Fed X. No matter how you say it, it Just means a bill to me. English was never a good subject in school for me. The teacher was good looking and I couldn't concentrate.

Some of us have affection for UPS and refer to it by a nickname. We have no affection for fed ex and if we mentioned it at all it

Years ago UPS had an advertising campaign where they referred to themselves as "Brown" or "the Big Brown Truck". That's where it came from.
