No pics because I'm leaving soon but as a kid I remember tintype ( I believe that's it)of a distant grandmother and various photos of family which I thought was really nice because they were my family even though I never knew them.
Later on with a Brownie and an 8-shot BW film I remember in 1947 taking pics of brand new cars.
As time rolled on I learned that pictures of family were fun, but sad at the same time as today I see a family photo and 3/4 of them have passed away and I am now older than my grandfather was in that particular photo. It bothers me. Still interested in photography I began doing a lot of local shots such as the lighthouse, the stores etc and after leaving home the world opened up. All this to say I did landscape shots, no faces, no people and as I traveled this road I entered a zone of composition, which I love, refining and history. I am also a history buff so things like Gettysburg, cemeteries, old farms and barns and country photos draw me very close. I am a believer of the beauty is in the eye of the beholder thing, hence I search out beauty on a daily basis, especially since I have my digital and also on UHH ......It is your fault Sherrie! You are emptying my bank account and making gas stations richer. But I love it.....

Looking forward to your pictures. I passed the age my Dad passed on a coupe of years ago - it didn't bother me as much as it freed me to know my life, and my age, were my own. Happy camping!
