It's not often in life you get a do-over, but I lucked out. The first image was heartbreaking. I was on a conference call in my office when I spied this great blue heron ready to take flight, so juggling the phone and the camera while trying to remain coherent, I snapped off a few frames. It would have been one of my better shots ever, IF ONLY it were in focus. I was so disappointed.
But then, I got a second chance. I saw another, or maybe the same, great blue heron out my window again. This time I was able to set up the camera correctly and the second image is the result. I'm happy now.

Great shots! I really love the second one. I have never seen a Great Blue Heron do ballet.
Anytime you can get a bird in flight is usually a winner. Nice going

Number 2. Acting like it has not, a care in the world!
Both are well captured.

Second chances are great!
It always pays to be prepared. Good job on that 2nd image, Dick. Hope you get many more.
