The newer 18-135 IS USM is offered with the 77D, but not with the T7I. I purchased it with my 77D. The focus is fast on this lens when paired with the 77D, I'm very pleased with the lens, as well as the autofocus system on the camera.

Good to know! Thanks.

I own a Canon T6i and have been very happy with it. Purchased from Canon as a referb.
Was advised to buy the T6i over the T7i except if I was going to do video's. Since I have no interest in doing
video's, I elected for the T6i. If you were going to go pro, I'd step up to a Canon pro Camera.
The T6i will do everything you'll ever want to do. Spend the extra money on some great lenses.

Not to be obnoxious but, the 6ti also has Anti-flicker also, and iso can be bumped up to 25600.

I think Panasonic and Olympus have like 95 Lens between them that’s a lot of choice

T7i. It improves significantly over the T6i which was only a tweak or two of improvement over the T5i.

Consider buying the T7i used or refurbished. It has been out long enough to appear on the after-market.

BTW: Let others sneer at the T7i as a beginner's camera. It can produce high-quality images pretty much indistinguishable from a high-end camera. You could earn your living with it along with the right accessories.

If your really need a high-end camera on occasion, then you could rent it.

I own and use the T7i, and I can recommend it.
T7i. It improves significantly over the T6i which... (show quote)

I’m not sneering- I almost cried when I sold my T6i several weeks ago. I feel like I need a collection of cameras to choose what I want to shoot with that day... T7i one day, Fuji mirrorless the next, try a Sony full frame...

The biggest different between these two cameras is low light capability. The T7i has a max ISO of 25600, the T6i max ISO is 12800. The T7i also has Canon's latest DIGIC 7 image processor. The T7i offers in camera stabilization for video recording. Both are very good cameras. If your budget will allow it, go for the T7i. If budget in an issue, Canon offers Factory Refurbished cameras online at great prices with a full one year warranty.

I own a T6i, and the max ISO for that camera is actually 25600. Other than that, I agree with judb82 here. If you can afford it, go for the T7i. (That's going to be my next Canon body.) If not, go for the T6i. Either way, you can't go wrong.

I was actually quoting the max native ISO of the cameras, rather than expanded ISO. The T6i has a max native ISO of 12800, and expanded ISO up to 25600. The T7i has a native ISO of up to 25600 and expanded ISO up to 51,200. I had originally researched the T7i before I settled on the 77D, which is a similar camera with some additional features. The T7i and my 77D both have the same ISO rating.

Who needs 35,600 ISO anyway? Like buying a Corvette that will do 200 miles an hour. I have one and have never gone 200 miles an hour.
