My iphone syncs all my photos to my dropbox...from there, I can save them to my computer. Just open dropbox on your iphone and start the process.

I think the easiest way is to download the "Photo Transfer APP. For phone & Mac.

I hope this helps.

The greatest transfer program I have used is PhotoSync. It’s an app that you download on your computer and iPhone. I use it all the time. It’s very fast and so easy to use. You can specify where the images will be stored. Try it. You won’t be disappointed. Very short learning curve

You don’t need to connect to the computer. Your iPhone has a feature called “Airdrop”, which allows you to instantly send photos to your Mac (or, for that matter, anyone else’s Mac , iPad, or iPhone. )

Exactly! No cables. I have a folder on my desktop that I organize any iPhone photos/videos that I want to keep. When I am working in CP1 Pro, I import the files as I would any of my RAW files. CP1 users should note that you cannot change/add metadata to movie files; so rename your movie file before you import. I generally use 'Year/Month/Day' format + descriptive keywords. This now is searchable in the CP1 database.

Plug your iPhone in to your computer. As soon as iTunes appears close it. You should be able to see an icon for your phone on the desktop. Open it and go to the DCIM folder.
Your images should be in sub folders with dates on them.

At least that’s what I can do on my PC.

I just plug mine into the PC with the USB charging cable and the device shows up in the File Explorer.

VERY simple. Just go to your Applications Folder and find Image Capture.app. Start Image Capture. Plug in your iPhone. iTunes will probably start, but you just close it. Now, you can set Image Capture to be the application that opens when you plug in your iPhone. See screenshot. Select your iPhone under DEVICES. Go to the bottom of the column and choose what you want to happen when connecting "this camera."

Done! Oh, and yes, you can set the exact location to store your photos, using the Import To: drop-down dialog at the bottom of the column of images. You can also select to download all, or just selected images that appear in that column...

This procedure works for any camera or SD or CF card you connect... but if you re-format the card, you may have to do it again. '

This procedure works regardless of whether you use iCloud to store your photos. It has, since the late 2000s, with every iPhone I can remember (that's 3Gs forward).
VERY simple. Just go to your Applications Folder a... (show quote)

For Mac, been using this method for years. Easy-peasy... I just placed Image Capture on the dock for super easy access.

I am confused!!!! Apple products are COMPLETELY INTUITIVE!!!! How could this question EVER COME UP???????

By the way in the PC and Android world you have to connect the phone to the PC, open the phone as a drive and download the pictures like you would from an SD card.

Yeah, I know, soooo confusing. Why WHY W H Y can't PC's and Android be simple and intuitive like Apple products???

Of course i don't have to do that since I use a Googel PIXEL and my shots are stored to the cloud at full resolution for free and easily accessible from anywhere. And yes, the JPEGS I pull from my camera to my phone by WiFi are also stored for free.

Oh curse me that I never bought an iPhone. Woe is meeeee....

I did the same. I use it for ALL image and video transfers from cameras and iPhones. One click can import a whole card, or selected images.

I didn't realize that you could also use IC for camera transfers. I'll have to try this. Thanks for the tip.

On Windows just connect it to the cable you use to charge it with to the USB port. Then use Windows File Explorer to copy the pictures. I do not have a Mac, but I suspect the same general process works with File Finder.

FWIW
