Can someone tell me what I did to get the first photo

Don't know how you did it. I like the way the rocks and river came out, lots of natural color. Unfortunately there's no way to fix the greenish sky color without changing the rest of the colors to unnatural tones. The only thing I would do with the pic is to crop out the sky.

Don't discard your first image--I makes a beautiful black and white print. And the color saturation can be changed to something more normal. When a dial on your camera is set between the two effects listed you don't know which the camera is using--it will never be a combination, and can change with just a minuscule amount of movement of the dial from one to the other setting.
