I have my equipment insured with USSA. 10.00 per month but offset by two cars and my home. with home owners the equipment is covered for theft and damage if in the house. mine covers everything including doing stupid things to you equipment with no deductible. no need to call an agent. I can make changes on line. 6500.00 in camera and lenses for just about free.

You are overpaying. My Farmers Insurance Company homeowners insurance all risk camera flooter for $10,000 worth of equipment costs only $40 a year. It also covers "...doing stupid things to you(r) equipment...." You are paying three times that for only $6,500 coverage. It sounds like you are getting screwed.

State Farm has a policy to cover photography equipment. $10,000 worth of equipment was quoted at $132 annually. It includes theft, loss and even damage with no deductible. My homeowner's has a $500 deductible.

Where do you find serial numbers on Nikon cameras and lens, flash, filters,,, all of that good stuff???

U will find serial numbers on the lenses located on the lens, serial numbers on the camera are located on the camera body, u will find serial numbers on the flash located on the flash. There are no serial numbers on Nikon filters, so don't bother looking for them. Hope this information helpful to you as you look for serial numbers on Nikon lenses, bodies and flashes.

the cost was offset by the two cars and house. I'm basically getting it for nothing so how am I over paying?
