I'm not trying to criticize the OP's intent, however the methodology does impact the results. Not including OEM batteries skews the results. I've only had one bad experience, which was an OEM battery. So, I do question the survey validity, not its intent. My observations as expressed earlier would skew the results. The only bad result I have experienced was an OEM battery, and yet that isn't apparently allowed in the data pool.
Valid survey work should be easy to defend, statistically. This survey may not meet those standards.

As I stated before this is not a statistically valid survery. Respondents are self chosen, there is no attempt to randomize, get diversity of camera models or any other means. This is simply a survey out of curiosity. It's not "valid". don't read the results as anything more.

Thank you for your service.... I would like to know about AA batteries for my flash that have the best recycle rate. When doing weddings I need batteries for my Canon 580EX flash that "recycle" fastest so that I can get more shots of the bride and groom coming down the isle...
To the date and time of this post, I've collected 98 responses. I invite you to do a similar one for flash batteries.

Canon T5 7D and 7D II all powered with Wasabi batteries. Never have had any problems even when using Canon chargers. I use both plug in type and automobile chargers and have had excellent results.
Pentax Wasabi great in all of my cameras for last 3 years
Panasonic Lumix (multiple models): Wasabi batteries: Positive, but about 10% less capacity than OEM (tested by doing long time-lapse videos and seeing how many pictures it took before shutting off)
Nikon P900: Wasabi: Positive (have not tested capacity compared to OEM battery)
Nikon D810: Watson: Positive (no capacity test here either)
I don't know if the following battery brands are available for cameras, but will include, just in case:
Canon HV20 (camcorder): Maximal Power: Positive, but somewhat lower capacity than OEM
Accessory Power: Positive, but somewhat lower capacity than OEM

As a service to UHH members, I would like to collect responses from UHH members on their experience with non OEM batteries. I will collect the data and publish the results at the end of this thread in a day or so. Please respond with only these data: Brand of camera; brand of battery and experience - positive or negative. This might help members decide on what approach they should try. Please do not respond if you have only used OEM batteries for your camers(s). Thank you.
I cut off at about 2200 hrs and had tabulated 112 responses. I will publish a summary under the same heading but entitled Results.

So your margin of error will be...?

Statistically "large".
Around 10 percent, either way, perhaps?

Not a statistical study. Just an informal survey. The hole gets deeper and deeper.
