Experience with aftermarket (non - OEM) camera batteries. Short survey.

As a service to UHH members, I would like to collect responses from UHH members on their experience with non OEM batteries. I will collect the data and publish the results at the end of this thread in a day or so. Please respond with only these data: Brand of camera; brand of battery and experience - positive or negative. This might help members decide on what approach they should try. Please do not respond if you have only used OEM batteries for your camers(s). Thank you.
For my Nikon D5300, I bought two Wasabi batteries about two years ago and they still seem to be equal to the Nikon battery. So I'd say positive. I also like the charger that came with the batteries better because it has an adapter for the car.

I'm not trying to criticize the OP's intent, however the methodology does impact the results. Not including OEM batteries skews the results. I've only had one bad experience, which was an OEM battery. So, I do question the survey validity, not its intent. My observations as expressed earlier would skew the results. The only bad result I have experienced was an OEM battery, and yet that isn't apparently allowed in the data pool.
Valid survey work should be easy to defend, statistically. This survey may not meet those standards.
I have 2 wasabi en-el 15 batteries for my d7200. They work ok but don't last as long as the Nikons

Not a survey about OEM batteries. It's a survey about non-OEM batteries.

Thank you for your service.... I would like to know about AA batteries for my flash that have the best recycle rate. When doing weddings I need batteries for my Canon 580EX flash that "recycle" fastest so that I can get more shots of the bride and groom coming down the isle...

Nikon cameras. Power2000 for two cameras, and Powerextra for one. Can't tell the difference from the Nikon batteries.
I have used wasabi batteries for over 2 years they are not crap as someone has previously said. They are still working . use then olympus camera bodies.

DaveO how do we know if it is or isn't made at the same factory. We are all just speculating here. We are not inside these Chinese factories. BTW the Sony NW50 batteries ARE made in China, just as the Wasabi versions are. Both Sony and Wasabi batteries say "Made in China" right on the battery. Cheers
Canon camera; Watson; holds the charge as well as the OEM battery

What I am saying is that even if it is made in the same factory, it does not mean all the batteries are the same. I am glad that you realize that we are not inside of the Chinese factories. That's a good start.

Conversely, it also does NOT mean that they AREN'T the same battery, I hope you realize that . Cheers
X-T1 & X-E2 - 2 x Wasabi (one good, one swelled), 2 x Troy both good 3 x 01 Battery Pack good. All last much longer in X-T1 than X-E2 No difference, as far as I can tell to the two Fuji batteries that came, one with each, with the two Cameras.
D7000 1 Nikon EN-EL15 and one BLUMAX EN-ELa5 - absolutely no difference I can tell. Both last ages.
