Hi everyone! I'm new at photography and exited about it, I have learn a lot from all of you I really appreciate your help... I'm wondering if you guys can recommend me some good photography books... thanks!!
I like the Bryan Peterson series of books... "Understanding Exposure" comes to mind.
I second that it's a great book I've just got it and can't put it down!
Scott Kelby's 4 volume series on digital photography is excellent. The original book is the best of all for someone new to photography. Volumes 2, 3, and 4 are a bit more advanced. All have lots of information about equipment, how to take various shots, and suggestions regarding resources that will help improve your photos.
Eunice,
There are hundreds of good "How-To" photography books pertaining to many various types of photography: nature, wedding, macro, and the list goes on. Google "best beginning photography books" and you will get many good choices. I also recommend searching for "Famous photographers". You can often learn quite a little by studying the greats like, Ansel Adams, Henri-Cartier Bresson, Vivian Maier, Edward Weston, just to name a few.
Without a doubt, Bryan Peterson ... "Understanding Exposure"

 I agree.
What he said!
I agree, I learned more from his books and videos then any thing else I tried. His books are written in good down to earth verbiage and the videos are easy to follow.

Scott Kelby's books are great. The best place to buy books I have found is half.com. Lots of books for .75 plus postage is usually $3.00 but you save on the postage if you buy from the same seller.

They also offer book rentals, which is strange. You can buy an Adobe book for $20 or rent it for $16 for 125 days .

Great book, it is almost mandatory reading for photographers. Also from Bryan Peterson, "Learning to See Creatively," "B.P.'s Field Guide to Outdoor Photography," "UnderStanding Close-Up and Macro Photography," and "Understanding Flash Photography." All great books with great information and exercises. B.P. also gives you the EIXF info of the images he has inthe books.

Anything by Brian Peterson, Michael Freeman, Scott Kelby, Martin Evening, Moose Peterson (for Nature and Landscape), etc. I could name many more Authors if you would indicate your areas of interest: portrait, wildlife, scenic, children, etc.
I havent bought a photo book since the early 80's. There is so much free things on the computer. Just search whatever subject you want to know about and there wii be a site for it.
Hi Creative Simon,
I do have canon 60d with the kit lens 18-135mm. I also bought 85mm 1.8, 50mm 1.8 and 28-105 usm... Most of my shoots are my family and friends and most of the time party stuff, so what book do you recommend or stuff you got that you could share to us, or free online learning on how to shoot great using your DSLR?
Have a nice weekend!

Scott Kelby books are excellent. However, he is a Photoshop genius, but if you are using other software, you might be in trouble.
Someone suggested joining a camera club, which is a great idea. Also, go to your public library, at least then you can read without buying and if a book is so good, then get a copy off Amazon.
