I would go to a store and hold all the cameras and choose the one that is most comfortable to hold.
Don't be afraid to try out all of them. And consider the prices if needed.

I’m new to the group myself and am overwhelmed by the amount of advice, help and encouragement I’ve received in just a week or so. You’re in good hands here. I was a Canon guy all my life. I just bought a new Canon SX60HS and a Nikon D7200 (arriving today!). The “bridge” model Canon has given me excellent results so far. Can’t tell you yet about the Nikon. Welcome aboard, Dick.
Welcome to the Hog Mary, enjoy.

Welcome to the forum. I agree with Elsiss, find a good camera store and pick the one that FEELS GOOD in your hands. Also you need to figure out what kinds of photos you like to take as this might help in your decision to pick a certain model of camera. I shoot Canon and am very happy with it but Nikon Sony and Olympus are all fine cameras.
Welcome! Looking forward to your posts and pictures. Happy shooting!
