Hello
Hi I am new to this group and I am very excited. I have always loved to take pictures. I have always had point and shoot cameras.. Please do not laugh, lol. I have always wanted a Canon Rebel Eos. Let me just say this is on my bucket list. What does everyone think? Is there a better choice? And which one? I was looking at the Eos6? Thank you in advance.
Mary, welcome. You get the camera you can afford, and shoot the heck out of everything.
Welcome to UHH Mary, glad you joined us. I shoot with Nikon gear so don't want to mislead on your Canon choice that I know little about. I am sure you will get several suggestions.
Have fun, learn and enjoy the forum.

Welcome to the UHHFamily, Mary!! My advice... the best camera, is the one you're holding and looking through!!!
Enjoy the journey, I know you'll have a great time!!
Hello and welcome to the UHH. The Rebel T6 is currently the least featured least expensive Rebel model available. My recommendation for a Rebel is the T7i.

Thank you all. I am looking forward to learning a lot from you pros, and enjoying the pics . Thanks again. Mary
Welcome to the forum.
(I wouldn't laugh!)
I have had a T1i for years and am very pleased with it!
(If you're thinking of the T6 series, I'd pick a T6s or T6i, not the plain.)

Welcome to UHH.The T7i, which is at the top of the Rebel line, has been suggested and it is a great camera with excellent features. If it is out of your price range, you might consider the T6i. The T6i has more advanced features than the T6, and is less expensive than the T7i. B&H Photo has the T6i for $699.00 with a kit lens. If that's still out of your price range, the T6 is a good camera, just less features. Canon sells refurbished cameras on their website with a full 1 year warranty, so you might consider refurbished as well. I agree with those that have said 'the best camera for you is the one you can afford.'
Welcome aboard. Get on Canon's website where you can look up all the specifications of their cameras. That way you can tweak the details of the T6 and T6s and T6i and T7 etc. Good luck and have fun.
I have to agree, if you want the T6, you would be better off with the T6i. Contrary to the nomenclature, it is not a variation of the T6, but a different series. It has a better image processor, 24 vs 18 MP sensor, and articulating screen.
Welcome to the HOG
Enjoy the forum and your photography.

Welcome aboard Maryminnie. While the suggestions that you will receive on this forum can be helpful, you should visit a camera store or a well stocked Best Buy to get a feel of any Canons, Nikons, Sony’s, etc. and hold onto each one. They are all good cameras but one will feel just right to you. Then you can make your decision on the brand and model. Your budget also plays a big part in your decision. Good luck!
