I am thinking about starting a HDR forum here on the UHH. I'm not sure how to manage it, or if I can, but I feel it is needed. HDR is becoming a part of our photography we can not ignore, and there is a lot of great information out there. I would want to be able to let all of us share links, show our photos, and explain how we do it. I would like your input on this subject, and if there is enough support I will move forward with this plan. Let me know if you want a SEPERATE FORUM and would you contribute. I would want only information on HDR, you can show what you used "3-9 photos" and the final product. So let me know what YOU think.

Good idea. I have done a few as experiments with limited success. I have taken that very shot, also with limited success. Let's do it. How do we keep this ongoing?

I'm using a Photomatix program and thinking of upgrading to
Photomatix Pro. Does anyone have this (Pro)
And is it really any better? If so, how?

I have pro since I never had the other version I can't compare. But I know that in Pro I can tone map single images and I use it a lot.

Yes, I will participate. I have just started trying HDR. I May I was in Western Australia and I did two trips--one to The Pinnacles and another to Wave Rock. I took nearly all my photos with a tripod and the camera set to automatically take three exposures.

I think the results was pretty good.

The Pinnacles photo won first place and the Wave Rock photo won second place in our camera club competition last month.

Actually, I don't live nearby. I live in Connecticut, USA. In May, I was on a trip to Perth, Australia and I made two trips from there to see The Pinnacles and Wave Rock.

This was the first time I used a tripod and did HDR processing.
