Some of these programs have free trials, so you can TEST DRIVE them before purchase. Here is a review of HDR Programs rated the top 10 less than a year ago.

I am thinking about starting a HDR forum here on the UHH. I'm not sure how to manage it, or if I can, but I feel it is needed. HDR is becoming a part of our photography we can not ignore, and there is a lot of great information out there. I would want to be able to let all of us share links, show our photos, and explain how we do it. I would like your input on this subject, and if there is enough support I will move forward with this plan. Let me know if you want a SEPERATE FORUM and would you contribute. I would want only information on HDR, you can show what you used "3-9 photos" and the final product. So let me know what YOU think.

I just recently started doing HDR, and now that's about all I do. I have a Nikon D-5100 set to take three exposures. Here is a covered bridge I shot in Vermont this week. I use Photomatix and enhanced the color a bit, but that's all.

I'm looking forward to learning and sharing as much as I can in this -new to me- fascinating digital process.
I have a Panosonic Lumix FZ18 ( ya an oldy ) that only brackets 3 at a max of +/- 1 in 1/3rds = CS4 and the trial Photomatix download but so far my results have been satisfactory to me.
I know I can tripod hold the camera and bracket manually up to
+/- 2 but that is down the road a ways.
Here are some of my first works from this week.
C&C is OK anytime with me - that is how I learned the most in photography.
Harvey

I tried HDR with a Topaz program, but was not happy with the halo above the bridge... any suggestions. I did not use Photomatix because I didn't have three exposures of the bridge. Guess I can't use shortcuts and expect to get a good finished product!

Hi kaerophil, love your bridge shot, I have a D-5100 too and am pretty happy with most of my shots. Of course, sometimes, I have to deal with operator error!
