Hi Folks, had a chance to photograph the train and depot in the little town of Lynnville (pop. 287) today. Had a break in the weather from all the rain, so it was nice to get out, if only for a little while. The depot is a replica of what the original looked like. And the train is a retired 1927 Baldwin 2-6-2 that once ran on the St. Louis-O'Fallen railway. These are in camera HDR's taken with the Sony RX10M3. Hope folks aren't getting mad with all my recent posting.

Thanks my friend for another fantastic set, they all pop! The only time I get mad is when I miss one of your postings. Your work always brightens my day!

Thanks Phil, it's been a slow winter for me. Wife had knee surgery so was homebound for quite some time. She's recouping nicely so we're finally venturing out a bit. This trip was our first since her surgery and she did pretty good. We've got a grand adventure to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone area planned for late May and I can't wait. Good hearing from you my friend.

James, very nice set. It has been a while since I was in Lynnville. My company had a plant in Pulaski just south of there. I stopped by Lynville a few time when I had to make the trips from Brentwood down to Pulaski.

These are great James; we went there a few months ago and also to Campbells Station Country Store up the way from there for a good steak dinner; the ice cream shop across from the depot ain't no slouch either; keep up the pics in and around TN - love them from Huntsville

Cool pictures. I have a picture of a railroad track cutting through the forest of the Piney Woods in East Texas. Plan on going back and get pictures of a train as it is coming towards me and another one with it leaving.

Thanks for telling me about this place (Campbells Station) didn't know about it. I'll have to go check it out. There are a lot of little towns and hidden places in rural Tennessee that contain photographer treasures. Thanks again...

I love your pictures of the train and station. I grew up on a small farm with train tracks 5 miles away. My music in the evenings of listening to the train whistle as they went through town and the whippoorwills calling.

Can't imagine why anyone would get mad at looking at your photos unless they are just jealous and these are beautiful photos. Keep em coming!

Beautiful shots, James! That in-camera HDR works beautifully on such dreary days. Love these shots!
