Have never articulated one of the screens I have on various camera bodies. Couldn’t even tell you if they worked!

Another vote for Weather Sealing. I don't do a lot of "chimping" until after a series of shots, and I have only used "live view" once in the past year or so. Articulated screen is a nice selling point, a lot better than "... and there are 23 cup holders" in my car.

Weather sealing, although I found that even that has it's flaws. I have a supposedly weather sealed camera/lens that has grown mold on the inside of the front element due to condensation while living in a tropical environment. Even weather sealing can't stop that. Use those plastic bags when going from an air conditioned environment into a hot humid climate!

I guess there are no earthquakes in California, either? :-)

No question, weather sealing...Articulated screens are a marketing ploy IMHO. I had one on an older Nikon Bridge camera. Rarely used it. I prefer to focus & compose a shot thru my viewfinder as opposed to an LCD screen.
My POV and exploring the subject matter I shoot dictate I use the articulating screen above my head and on the ground or tabletop almost every shoot. In real rainfall a plastic food storage bag with a slit cut in the bottom gets me through the assignment

You must do a lot of street shooting then.

Weather sealing. Never worried about it back in the days of film, but back then the only electronics on a camera was the light meter. Now there is a lot more to go wrong with the electronics in both lenses and cameras.
Weather sealing--- no contest...

Is that why you're all wet?
I know your comment was done in jest, but there actually are some of us out here that have ended up like that. By the time I made it back to our ship in Mykonos, I was all wet - soaked all the way down to the socks and underwear from shooting in the rain. Weatherproofing for me, and some others, is a must; cannot stop shooting just because of rain.
