All else being equal, what is more important to you in a camera body: an articulating screen or weather sealed ?

Weather sealing...but only from a manufacturer that I trust...and that does not include Sony.

It depends. If you are in wet damp hot dusty area, you want weather seal. If you want to take a hard to get photograph. The articulating screen. Weather seal is not Waterproof. A confusion sometimes.

Weather sealing. Not just because it helps when shooting in damp conditions, but also because it helps with dust.

No question, weather sealing...Articulated screens are a marketing ploy IMHO. I had one on an older Nikon Bridge camera. Rarely used it. I prefer to focus & compose a shot thru my viewfinder as opposed to an LCD screen.

But the question was, what is more important to YOU.

For me it is weather sealing.

Love my articulating screen, but weather sealing always wins! I'd rather have a camera that worked than one that sat there dead with its articulating screen.

Both are helpful if you know how to use them, but protection to reduce the effects of moisture and dust is the most important of the two.

Don't forget the weather sealed lenses...as a weather-sealed body with an unsealed lens is still a non weather-sealed body.

While I hope that my articulating screen will save some of the wear-and-tear on my knees for macro shots, I really don't want and moisture getting at the camera electronics. So chalk me up for sealing.

Having had my D7000 go belly up from salt corrosion, when it had never been in the water, I would say weather sealing. I don't use the "live view" feature to frame my photos, anyway.
