Sounds good! I am developing a class for fall for Adult Ed programs (2 nights) and for camera clubs/conferences (shorter version) on HDR -- the how-to's from taking to processing the images using various programs. Maybe I can get some feedback from this goup when I start getting it together (as well as share pics).

Sounds great!!! I really like the looks of HDR if it's used right. I keep trying and feel there is still a lot to learn depending on what I want to do with the picture.

I am thinking about starting a HDR forum here on the UHH. I'm not sure how to manage it, or if I can, but I feel it is needed. HDR is becoming a part of our photography we can not ignore, and there is a lot of great information out there. I would want to be able to let all of us share links, show our photos, and explain how we do it. I would like your input on this subject, and if there is enough support I will move forward with this plan. Let me know if you want a SEPERATE FORUM and would you contribute. I would want only information on HDR, you can show what you used "3-9 photos" and the final product. So let me know what YOU think.

ABSOLUTELY!!! I'm still a hack, but I really want to get better at it. I'm using Photomatix right now, but I'd love to see what else is available.

I am so excited with the interest you all show for this new Forum. To subscribe go to hehttp://www.uglyhedgehog.com/section_list.jspre.
I have looked at all of your images, and read all your posts, and I'm impressed. It took me most of the day to get started, and organized, but we are off to a great start, so you can start posting in the forum now.
There are a lot of you with more experience than me, so try to help others, just remember that we all don't have the same idea of what HDR is as far as the artistic style some of us use. We welcome all styles of HDR, and I hope we can all comingle on this forum. Thanks again. Madmike

Good idea. I'm probably an out-lier by using Linux, GIMP & Qtpfsgui but methinks there may be others.

MadMike, I was glad to see another picture of Multnomah Falls. It may be the most photographed waterfall in the world. They all begin to look the same being from the same angle. Good shot with HDR.

MadMike that is a great idea. Someone suggested that a couple of weeks ago and I even considered doing it. However I got so involved in "Special Effects Challenge" and that is taking all the time I have. We've had the thread going for about 7 weeks now, have 109 pages of pictures, 22,000 views and 1,600 messages. I monitor the site several times a day, try to comment on and offer encouragement on each post as well as post my images. It has worked beyond my wildest expectations from the start. Not only have we enjoyed each others art, some have become good friends over the time.

I shoot a lot of HDR as well as processing same. I am a moderate and try most of the time for natural image presentation. Once in awhile I add to that if I think it really helps the image. When I go overboard, I term it as being digital art and separate from HDR. So I definitely applaud your efforts and will gladly post and support the thread.
