Interesting shot of Little Roundtop, Gettysburg, PA!
I'm new to HDR having just purchased a Panasonic Luminex PnS that will do it in camera. I haven't had the opportunity to really ring it out yet to see what it can do.
I'm all for a separate HDR forum.

I could certainly use some help on HDR techniques.

I am thinking about starting a HDR forum here on the UHH. I'm not sure how to manage it, or if I can, but I feel it is needed. HDR is becoming a part of our photography we can not ignore, and there is a lot of great information out there. I would want to be able to let all of us share links, show our photos, and explain how we do it. I would like your input on this subject, and if there is enough support I will move forward with this plan. Let me know if you want a SEPERATE FORUM and would you contribute. I would want only information on HDR, you can show what you used "3-9 photos" and the final product. So let me know what YOU think.

I very much like the idea. I will subscribe to this forum, but likely will not be able to contribute anything but questions. This subject is foreign to me, I don't understand it, I've never used HDR, etc., etc.
Some of the results I have seen have been like bad artwork, others were absolute fantastic.
So count me in, at least as a reader.

I've been playing with HDR for a couple of years. I started with Photomatix, then started using the HDR built into CS5 and finally I bought the complete set of NIK plugins that includes NIK HDR eFex Pro, which I now use exclusively.

The one below was done using the CS5 HDR process. I was at Arlington National Cemetary with just my K5 and no tripod. I had to lean against a tree to shoot the 3 bracketed images.

This [the picture taken at Arlington] is one of the best examples of HDR that I have seen. I am very interested in learning more about HDR and will be taking classes in the fall using Photomatix. Here is one example of my efforts

Great idea! I'm sure I will be able to learn the proper way to process HDR as some of the pictures I've seen are great. Really like the process. Thaank you for starting this.
