Maybe you’re an Abe’s employee.
NO WAY Abes,,pay a bit more and be Happy Camper
Cheers Ron
I use Focus Camera and found them to be great. They answer questions and the service is good. I would give them a try.

Been looking for a new Canon T7I for a few months now. Lots of websites and Ebay. Just need the body as I have an older T3I with 3 lenses. Abe's of Maine has the new body for $595 which is much cheaper than anywhere else. AOM? Good dealer or a rip off?
Probably grey Market. Get ready for the email asking you to call them so they can confirm and complete your order, which is their upsell opportunity. Many years ago, when they were in Maine, I bought from them and they were decent. When they moved to the greater New York area, it was due to a sale of the business, and their selling practices changed. I do not do business with them any more, as there are too many reputable dealers, all of whom price similarly, but higher than the grey market retailers.
Probably (just guessing) 10 years or so ago?

Year of purchase ? They used to be reputable .
Never got a phone call from them but their upselling at time of sale was annoying.

I bought a lens from B&H and didn't even receive it when I saw an ad from Abe's. at $150.00 cheaper. I was ready to cancel when I Googled Abe's. After reading about them online I stayed with B&H. I have never been disappointed with B&H.

I'm not a Canon shooter, but I would highly suggest looking into a factory refurb. I have gotten them from Adorama, B&H, and Cameta. Cameta gives you a full year warranty on them included in the price, and I can vouch for the fact that they really are good at standing behind the purchases. I've gotten 6 camera bodies (refurb) from them, and they quickly shipped a replacement the ONE time I had a body that the lens didn't "click" in place like it should. No questions asked, and were very apologetic, even though it was Nikon themselves that did the refurb, not Cameta.
I had great luck with A&B as well, but their warranties are much shorter, and the prices the same, so I went with Cameta.
Just offering a suggestion, if you are wanting to save some $$, and still get a camera body that will be serviced because it isn't gray market, you may want to look into refurb instead of gray market, or questionable sellers.

More like Abe's of Brooklyn! Stick to B&H, Adorama, KEH. A few dollars is not worth the headaches.

A big Amen to that! I'm always amazed that people want to save a few bucks on something they will use for many years if it's high quality or in the case of used well maintained. Go figure.
I bought a Nikon D700 from them and it was a good experience, but it was several years ago, and I would stay away from them today based upon the comments on this site.
I have read too, from previous threads on this forum, that Abe's of Maine, was at one time a reputable Photo Shop. It seems that Abe's of Maine, has the same reputation as 42nd Street Photo Shop. Scammers..
Abe's of Maine is not an authorized Canon or Nikon dealer. Nuff said.
Gray Market Gray Market Gray Market. Why are you buying from them? Price. Price. Price. Low prices. Beware.
