Wow, Joe Legal can still afford to pay for healthcare? This was obviously calculated before Obama care... My premiums this year are nearly 1K monthly for me only. Next year I can't do it, tired of paying for me and 4 or 5 of the Jose Illegals..... I will just have to hope that I can avoid any catastrophic issues next year..

I won't go into it, but parts of that comparison is false. Illegals cannot draw food stamps, WIC, housing, Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, etc., and/or participate in any other government subsidy program. They do get medical through hospitals, as it illegal in most states, for a hospital to refuse emergency care to anyone. There was a big stink a while back about hospitals 'turfing' incoming patients to county hospitals.
Try Liberty Health Share. I pay $349/mo for my wife and I. $1,000,000 coverage. My wife needed a stent ($88,000). Liberty paid in full.
This is not a joke! The best insurance I have ever had.

Heh!
I'm Medicare and United Health Care (AARP) I pay about 300 a month for both and never pay a cent, no deduct's, on medical or RX.
Works for me!

Canadian insurance is vastly different than U.S. insurance. You have socialized medicine, we don't. Surgeons do a lot of elective surgery, for Canadians, here in my area as the wait times, in Canada, for elective procedures, are horrendous and our area is a destination resort type area so they come here.
We often hear the comments about wait times for elective surgery being horrendous and that may be true but I'd rather wait an extra two months for a knee replacement than pay upwards of a thousand dollars or more per month for medical insurance.

That may be true for a knee replacement. But think for a moment you have a blockage in one of your artery's can you wait those extra months, week or even days. There is a reason why so many Canadians elect to come to the US for surgery. socialized medicine is scary and dangerous.
That simply isn't true and is a common misconception amongst Americans. For any surgery that isn't elective the wait time is similar to what it would be in any US hospital. If you need surgery you get surgery, it's only "elective" surgeries that you may have to wait for.

Blocked artery is elective surgery? To you maybe.

It appears that you have a lack of reading comprehension, he did not say a blocked artery was an elective surgery.

That's most of the conversation and he did put it in the category of elective surgery by his reply.

Just last week my neighbor went to the Hospital about 11 am with chest pains and by 6:30 that very same evening he had 2 stints put in and he came home two days latter and never felt better and it did not cost him one red cent and that's good because we no longer have pennies here.
