Beautiful birdie shots, Greg. Love my Manfrotto, and if Vic will carry if for me, it goes where I go. Is it my imagination, or does the little yellow-rump have an injury under his bill??

Donna, thank you for looking and the smileys. I have a much lighter tripod and a monopod that I carry in my care, from now on. I rarely take my huge Tamron 150-600mm on a road trip. The yellow rump does have what looks like a little tear under his chin. I looked at another photo of him and magnified the area and it shows up. I did not notice it prior to posting it until you pointed it out. Thanks again.

Excellent captures, Greg, of your backyard tweeters!! Well done and they certainly repay you for the food they eat with lovely poses!!

Angela, I am blessed by these little "tweeters". If I did not have the setup I have in my backyard I would hardly get a chance to get the photos I do. Thanks for the smiley and thumbs up. I also believe I help them out with the food I provide.

Most likely he's been in a scuffle with another yellow-rump, Greg. The ones here are fighting themselves and other birds over the peanut butter logs.

Yep, they all seem to fight each other. The birds have a whole lot of personality then people realize.

Janos, thank you for your post. The sad thing about my backyard and my visitors is that if my Brenda and my own health was as good as it was 8 years ago I may never had got back to one of my passions, photography. I thank the Lord every day for what I have be it pain or my backyard.

Was able to get out back for awhile and captured a couple of my feathered friends. I used my Canon 80D with a Tamron 150-600mm G2 Lens on a new for me Manfrotto MT290 Tripod. First time out with this tripod and just wanted to update from my old heavy tripod from the 1970s. ALL C&C is welcome and detail will be with each photo. Thanks for stopping by.
