Was able to get out back for awhile and captured a couple of my feathered friends. I used my Canon 80D with a Tamron 150-600mm G2 Lens on a new for me Manfrotto MT290 Tripod. First time out with this tripod and just wanted to update from my old heavy tripod from the 1970s. ALL C&C is welcome and detail will be with each photo. Thanks for stopping by.

Very good and sharp, Greg. Love looking at them.
Very nice Greg. How about pointing some of those birds in my direction. My backyard is bare of colorful birds.😂

Bob, I would if I could get them to fly your way. I am blessed where we happen to live in North Carolina. Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment.

Thanks, Ron for your comment and for the thumbs up.
I remember you asking UHH about opinions on a tripod. I got this one with their top of the line ball head for $170.00 used. Looks new to me and included the case and everything else. Now to get used to it.

I didn't get a case with mine...bit disappointing considering what I paid for it...
The BHQ2 is a great ball head though and works great with my big lens...the ball itself is about 32mm diameter and very sturdy.

I agree on the ball head. Once I got it along with the tension knob adjusted my lens and camera would stay where I left it. So far I like both the tripod and head.

Thanks, Earl. A world better than my last set. Thanks for the smileys.

Beautiful birdie shots, Greg. Love my Manfrotto, and if Vic will carry if for me, it goes where I go.
Is it my imagination, or does the little yellow-rump have an injury under his bill??
