I wanted to respond to his LCD display size and said I was on his ignore list and I could extend an Olive Branch. I don't have any Olive trees to get a branch
Wow. Life will go on without him

Welcome to the ignore club. If his list continues to grow at the same rate, pretty soon there will be nobody to argue with him when he states categorically that 2+2=5.

So I guess I shouldn't make him upset?

You’re in luck! With you on his Ignore list (and I presume he’s on yours), you don’t have to endure his voluminous posts - I haven’t seen one in a month, how lucky can you get?

Is that true? If so maybe the answer is to go on one of his threads and ask to be added :)

I too am on an ignore list by someone who posts a multitude of Humor posts that are old and we've seen before. He didn't like my defense of American spelling of words which contradicted his British spelling.

I don't feel so lonely now.
I'm also on "The" list from a member in the gallery section, he does some floral stuff (constantly), at his first image it says "Comments Welcome" well he should of said "Warm and Fuzzy Comments Only" because I said I didn't really like them and asked if he could post the originals along with his work. Well I guess he didn't like that and "Snap" I'm on his ignore list. Have been watching his post lately and in reading some of the comments, all of the "warm and fuzzy"- "member extending" kind, apparently people that answer the way I did also get ignored

One thing he does do is answers almost all his replies.

So from here on out, let's refer to the obnoxious little girl as CHRISTIE !

I'm on board, but it could backfire- What if he likes it.

Where the ignore option becomes pernicious is when the ignorer is a forum manager. You get banned from an entire forum. One trick is this. The message will be in some forum. In that forum create a new article with an almost equal name. Use the 'cut and paste' feature to repeat that nerds words with admendments. The ignore feature is too broad powered and UHH management might relook the rules.

This is tempting and has possibilities, I think thou it would want to be started by a user called say brian , after all it's not christ .. it's just a naughty boy. So if anyone is interested in these posts they have a choice, because the only person who couldn't reply ...

Then again who's brian :)

Worked for me. I didn’t know reciprocal ignore lists worked that way, but it seems to work (thank God) - I never see his posts.

I find it interesting that Chris likes to use overly familiar ways of referring to people, typically by shortening their user names to a single syllable. I called him Chrissie once, and I think that was one of the things that got me on his ignore list very early on. It made me wonder what would happen if my username was CUnthorpe....

Years ago AOL found it near impossible to pick up subscribers residing in scunthorpe.

It takes a while but you can train your eye yo skip past posts, not just his but also of subjects that don't appeal to you. It took less than a week after he first started posting for me to be on his ignore list and trust me, the offending post was pretty darn innocuous. The subject poster has paper thin skin

I'm one of krisys earliest listees. I guess she took offense to my asking why she asks such idiotic irrelevant questions. I thought it was a perfectly legitimate question; and the little wussy never did answer me.

He posted today about camera LCD screens. So, I responded and discovered he has me on his Ignore list.

Just an observation.

As folks age- get older, they tend to become ignored more and more as time progresses- it's called ageism. This pertains to family, business associates, friends and foes alike. The folks that continue to communicate with you are your REAL friends so it is wise to value their friendship and try too maintain it. As for the others? Well- it seems cruel or nasty but the words "good riddance" may apply.

SOME of the activities behaviors and reactions that go down on online forums and social media in genera, are the grist for the mills of those studying abnormal psychology. To my rather unsophisticated way of thinking, much of this is just juvenile and unkind behavior dispensed by folks who simply have no manners or sense of decorum. The "ignore" list? perhaps that's more appropriate for junior high school kids, not serious adults!

I do enjoy a certain amount activity of social media and the odd forum but some things have to be taken "with a grain of salt" and done in moderation. It's especially nice when folks can get together and have a civil conversation, even about contentious matters, exchange ideas, suggest solution and get along. That's part of the learning and sharing process.

Sometimes being ignored yields peace, quite solitude, and privacy. We all can use a little of those things
