We'll have a high of 4° F today and a low of -10°. Mother Nature can be nasty. I'll be out most of the day, playing with two different ukulele groups. After driving into town yesterday to see Star Wars, I've decided to get a seat-heating kit for my car for next winter.

Tomorrow it will be above freezing for the first time in over a week.

We had 2* down on Long Island this morning by the outdoor sensor on the weather station, now up to 8* by the same. Wind chills about minus 5 to minus 10, according to the weather app. We’ve been putting a timer on the dog, see my avatar, who doesn’t seem to care about the cold to limit his exposure when in the yard. Though he continues to just mosey along during his walks sniffing and looking around like any other warmer day.

Not trying to be a smartass, but the temp has dropped to lower than 50 degrees in Miami for the second day this week.
I grew up in Denver; but at this point, I am seriously spoiled.

I agree. I live in Clearwater Florida and we had lows near 36 degrees and it was really chilly. We had highs of 45 with 20 mph winds. Finally, this morning it is 48 degrees heading to a high of 64. When we first moved down here from Philadelphia (5 years ago) we were laughing at the people in heavy coats, boots and gloves when the temp dropped to 40 degrees or so.... now we're there with them, shivering in the cold Florida weather..... BUT, we are laughing at the people that are up in Pennsylvania complaining about the -10 temps.. lol

Jerry, I grew up in the Catskills (Grahamsville) and remember the winters very well. As a kid I loved walking through drifts and know the feel of ears that you don't dare touch. Frankly, I envy your winter weather but after living 10 years in Tucson before moving to the Shenandoah Valley (VA) this year, I don’t think I could tolerate it even though it’s been quite cold here this week (but no snow).

Yes, I understand.

Somebody said that hot water freezes faster than cold water.
Well, I had to find out. I got a bucket of boiling water, went outside in below zero weather.
That water froze so fast that the ice was still warm!!!

We are 29 degrees in North Carolina (to cold for me to go out to do photography).

We are in NH. When we went to church this morning it was -3 degrees. It is now 8 degrees. It has been this way for over a week. Twenty-nine degrees is a heat wave.

Gee guy's, don't know how to say this other than I think there might be a state law here in southern California that the temperature can't drop below 70 in the day and 50 at night.

we're suffering. temps here have dropped to low seventies and we're forced to wear long pants and even long sleeve shirts.

Unfortunately, I'm going through a lot of firewood and heating oil.

It was so cold here in Ohio that our house sitter went through a month's worth of wood in the 18 days we were away! The first morning back (Saturday) we woke up to a frozen water line and Husband spent most of the day repairing it - welcome home!!
