I cropped and changed the aspect ratio to 10:8 and used Unsharp Mask to bring out some highlights. Used rule of 3rd's to get the main subject very near the L1/3xT1/3. Really nice pic, like it a lot.

Oh, Sunfish, this is beautiful! I love the setting and you got 2 of my favorite birds to boot. And, with a p&s??? Amazing!

By the way....I shot this with my Panasonic Lumix P&S....really would like some comments....is this a good shot?

Yes it is a good shot...the bird is a bit overexposed and the foreground is a bit congested. If I were setting up this shot...I would try to simplify the shot as much as possible. That would mean getting closer to eliminate the plants in the foreground... get lower so the driftwood was in the foreground and there was less water filling the shot.
Of course by then the bird would have flown away, I'd have dranched feet and be cussing at myself for not just taking the shot as it was.
So....yes it is a good shot!

Great shot to start with. Improved with Raydances's cropping.

That driftwood is a really interesting shape and it's color helps lead the eye to the bird beyond.

Nicely done, looks like it leans a tad to the left. Otherwise very nice

Tried to straighten a bit and cropped some...what do you think? Feel free to make changes if you don't mind. Thanks!

Beautiful, certainly looks serene.

Thanks RaydancePhoto.....looks good....actually my intended main subject was the driftwood....that may have been a mistake.....thanks for your help!

Thanks mollymolly! I'm glad you like it. I used the P&S because I have a better chance of getting everything in focus. I have trouble with that with my Canon T3 and at this moment I had the Sigma 150-500 on it.
