I guess you heard that hijack part around the water cooler.
In my lifetime there have been 2 tax 'revisions' before this one. One under Kennedy and one under Reagan. In both of those earlier ones the nay sayers were positive it was going to further increase the dept because there would be less tax income to the treasury. In both of those cases the nay sayers were wrong. If we don't learn from history.............................
Fear is a bitch to live with

Wait.. you mean the national debt hasn't increased since Kennedy and Reagan were president? Wow! Silly me.

Thatz what happens when the OP asks no questions.
I'm in the Canon Camp anywho. They tell me (SS) that if I use Nikon lens caps, and hide the Canon logos, then no one will steal my Canon's.
Why are we not talking about Bush Jr.? He started all this.
And don't get me started on Ray-Gun.

Not in New Jersey I won't. Between loss of the state income tax deduction and cap on real estate tax deduction I will have at least $5000 less to spend next year, and compared to many here I'm one of the lucky ones. Don't mean to hijack this thread, but the idea that we will benefit from this new tax plan is a very sore subject in this state.

You probably ought to take that up with your elected state representatives since they are the ones who passed the exorbitant taxes you no longer will be able to deduct.

Being from Mississippi which ranks lowest in the country for per capita income and highest in the country for poverty rate, perhaps you should look inward to your own state government problems rather than criticizing what goes on in other states.

State Governments and National Governments do not produce wealth, my friend. They can only take wealth a redistribute it, the per capita income and poverty rate have nothing what so ever to do with how much the state taxes the citizens of a state.

Just so you know--Virtually NOBODY in the US earns 1 million/year..Net worth is very different than income.

Turns out that I am wrong. About 1 million people in the US earn 1million or more per year. About 0.3%

The point is look to your own state before criticizing what others do. It the old "people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones".

Don't forget that you Americans get far more offers with low prices and deals than most other countries do. We have to pay much higher prices or order online and pay the import duties for our camera gear.
