Ok, fine topic for this cold weather...here goes nothing !
OK seen as St3v3M is now in Africa Im gonna say what he would say. Nice Pic but please delete it and post it here:
http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/photo_contest.jsp?pcnum=14This is not the upload place for your competition images just the place to discuss them.
Im really stumped on this one guys n gals. I am going to have to go all out to even think about competing with some of the archive entries already submitted. I'm sure one of the entries, in particular, already uploaded has it in the bag unless somebody can go that extra mile.
St3v3m you were right for the last challenge I probably will end up hating you.
My freezer has been working overdrive like my brain has been. I had a few ideas and one failed shoot already. I also tried building a mini, indoor igloo but that failed also. I got a few layers frozen together but couldnt get any of the higher ones to stick.
I even looked into making my own plastic ice cubes from this link:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/kylemay/2045290249/I might post a few of my failed attempts here after the closing date.

I'm not sure if any of this comment was aimed at me? I do not live in America but it is summer here also (if you can call it summer with all the flash floods etc). Bet you have a lot of rain in Auckland. The majority of the users on here seem to be from USA. Therefore I would imagine the majority of the entries will come from archives.
Anybody can enter the comp and neither myself nor St3v3m is discriminating against anybody. At first glance I thought the past 3 challenges have been biased more towards the USA (with red, white and blue - Dog days of summer - and now Ice cold to follow on from the last one) but with imagination anybody, anywhere in the world can capture an image that fits the theme.

Thank you! I've been to South Africa before and love it here! Currently I am in Durban (thank goodness as Cape Town has snow!!!) I will get as many pictures as I can and post them. I am glad you are having fun too - it really is why I wanted to do the challenges!

I LOVE IT!!! And truly you will hate me and love me if you continue the challenges. For some it will hit them, while others will want to give up, but the following week it will flip. Its a challenge and if it were easy everyone would do it. Keep thinking and really stretch your imagination if you have to.

Just ICE.Cold.
I'm not sure who this was directed to, but assume it is explaining the challenge which means I am doing a good job making you think. With this challenge you could do Ice, Cold, or Ice Cold. It's not always as hard as you make them, but not always as easy as they could be either which is why we call them a challenge!

Humn? Isn't the Union Jack Red, White and Blue? Dog Days of Summer - what does that really mean any way? And Ice Cold - I could take a picture in Cape Town with the snow and win it all. None of that is from the US! I'll get around to everyone...
