A 36 or 38 Dodge...My Grandpa had one and gave it to me when he passed. Wished I still had it. Floor shifter and built like a tank

Ran across a car show in small town USA Portland, TN, after eating a meat and 3 at 109 Family Restaurant for $5.65 that was once owned by Ronnie McDowell. Originally thought this was a Anglia, But it is a Henry J. Don't really know if they are kin or not ?

There is a photo of an original 1949 Anglia on Wikipedia. <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Anglia#/media/File:Ford_Anglia_Bj_ca_1949_Photo_2008_Castle_Hedingham.JPG>
Note the curves crease exactly where the white and blue separate on the door.

It gives me a Citroen taste, the grille leans back at top, headlights???
I owned a Ford Prefect ute/pickup, 52 model but front didn't look like that. Two door unusual.
Sure looks like a tweaked up whatever! Good luck.

Known as an English Ford, real popular for making hot rods and drag cars very small. They were similar to the American Austiin.

Henry J made Kaiser Frasier and even sold as All state by Sears back in the day. They were a compact car of the time, 50's. Many of them went to drag cars. Google up Henry J drag racers and see what comes up.

I'm pretty sure that this is a British Ford Popular utility car circa mid 1950s, which was basically a Ford Anglia, after Ford had moved the Anglia name to a more modern light car. This one obviously has lowered suspension and larger wheels, and who knows what under the bonnet.
