I know it's old but don't have the foggiest idea what it is.
It's not old (its a racer - notice the roll bars inside), but made to look old.

Looks like a custom old hot rod
Looks a bit like a Ford Anglia E04A (1939–48)

A Morris?
That's what I was wondering - I've only seen rather poor quality photos of them.
Is it a 1946 Ford Anglia, EO4A, 2Dr Australian. Notice the roll bar, tubbed rear end and parachute packet on the back. Looks like a Funny Car dragster without wheelley bars off the back. Just a guess!

Yes, the hood 'vent' and headlights look a lot like the Anglia's from back then.
European cars from the 40's and 50's were a popular base for building drag race cars at one time.
This could be a real Anglia body or a fiberglass replica.
It looks very similar to the 1937 Ford my grandfather had.
Whatever it is it's a really cool car. We saw three one-seater "cars" this morning that had two wheels in the front and one in the back, very similar to one we once saw on "Top Gear". The guys driving them were having a ball.
I had one with a 426 Mopar motor in it.

No doubt about it being Ford, E49 Anglia or Popular. 1949-59. An English Ford, A miniature Model A in many ways, with Transverse leaf spring, Rear axle and Tubular Driveshaft assembly, 6 volt electrics, Vacuum wipers Thermosiphon cooling on Sidevalve engine Mechanical brakes. We called it the "Easyroll" model, no prizes for guessing why.
It's a 1950s Ford Anglia or Popular. I can't be sure which.
