Hey guys I am going to purchase a Nikon D7200 one way or another. After a lot of pricing research I see Cameta has a refurbished at $749 with a 1 year warranty and a few other sites have new at about $800. The same body and accessories with the 1 year warranty. It's not so much the $50 savings, I would probably add a remote shutter release anyway, but why spend more for the same thing? Plus Cameta has been my go store for awhile. I have never bought a refurbished body before. I have bought 2 refurbished lenses from Cameta before with excellent results so what do you think? Thanks and Happy Holidays.
For a $50.00 difference I would feel better with a new unit; many will disagree.
One pays for peace of mind. Personal choice.

As long as the new ones for $800 are from reputable places.

Nikon Refurbished or Dealer Refurbished? That is probably the main issue at any price.
I have bought 2 refurb bodies from Cameta...they are certified Nikon refurbs but they were much less than new...For $50 I go with a new one.
Adorama, B&H, AND Cameta have the new Nikon D7200 body only for $797 (a Nikon deal). Cameta does not have it in stock though.

Keep in mind that $799/$797 deal ENDS at midnite tonight I believe.
I bought mine refurbished from Nikon for $750.00. It has served me well. If you can get a new one that is not grey for $800.00 I would do that instead if the warranty is the same.
Personally I would go for the new one. It's is only 50 dollars more. Happy shooting.
For that price difference I would go with new.

Although I have always been a big fan of refurbished products, $50 is insignificant when you consider the genuine Nikon warranty vs the warranty from Cameta, and the fact that the camera is brand new. Prices vary during the year, so a refurb isn't always such a good bargain.
