Sometimes success is as hard to take as failure. But, this is really a benefit in this sense. I would store this in your memory bank to be recalled and put into perspective the next time your work is unjustly overlooked.

showing dogs has taught me a lot about when it is hard to take failure. My show dogs are my four legged children and when they lost I take it very personal..I once had a judge tell me my dog was too fat and that really upset me. when it is my photos, it is only me; no big deal. Just don't talk bad about my dogs!

entered this picture in a contest and it was picked as one of the best, but I need to know why? what would you do to change it? I wanted to be foggy and I know that is what the judge liked about it; I find it depressing.

It needs some kind of point to focus on. This photo looks like a background searching for a subject.

For me, the promise of what is to come if part of the charm of photography. As a stand alone, I like this photo but it also holds a promise for even better images to come. I do hope that you waited at this site to see how the light developed. If not, you still have a nice image.
