My 7d crashed (my fault) and don’t want to spend $815. On repair. I’m looking at the Canon 7D Mark II.
Does anyone use this camera and how does it perform for you. I appreciate your reply.

I am also looking to buy the 7DMarkII to upgrade from my 60D.
I think I read somewhere that there is a rumor that Canon is going to bring out a 7DMarkIII in 2018.
Has anyone else read this or heard about it?

I preordered the 7DmkII. I primarily use it for sports and Bird Photography. I could not be happier. It is a pro camera. The reviews generally forget that when you only get one chance to get the shot, autofocus has highest priority. Birds in flight or football in the air it is hard to beat. autofocus similar to the 1Dx. I use my full frame for portraits but love this body. Can get a good used one cheap. Good HD video for quick clips. Love it.

I moved from the 7D to the 7D MarkII. You won’t be disappointed.

That incredibly reliable and fast auto focus and 10 frames per second shutter speed is also very good, for instance, when shooting the flower toss at weddings.

Purchased a 7DII over 2 years ago. Love the 10FPS as I shoot a lot of sports. Very reliable, well built and focus is fast. When shooting sports outdoors love my Canon 70-200 f4L. When shooting a baseball game you can freeze the batter and still show motion on the ball. Nice crisp snaps.
