Hey, if it works for you, in all those venues, Rich ... who am I to knock it?

thanks Chris :-) . I was sort of kidding around though. In my profile I think you can see the 3 Nikons I have, but the EM is in the closet, the P510 in the trunk for emergencys (car fender bender, or ufo flying over) , but the D3300 goes with me when I do shoots or interviews.

I have 3 cameras, 2 DSLR'S, a D7000 which I bought used to make a IR camera and a D5600 which I bought new and first. I am finding though that both are APSC cameras but both don't accept the same lenses. So that is changing my plans, my D7000 has a focus motor from what I understand and the D5600 doesn't so I'm not able to use just any lense and they would be compatible, I bought 2 used Sigma lenses neither work on the D5600 but both work on the D7000," i was told that they would"
My third camera is a Sony a7 which makes outstanding images, I bought it refurbished, I wanted to see what all the fuss was with a full frame sensor I love the camera I just don't have enough glass yet, beautiful portraits though with a 85mm, the low light capabilities are incredible too. I bought this for landscapes, I just haven't been able to buy an wide angle lense yet.
So if i could do it all again knowing what I know now I wouldn't have bought the D5600, it's not a bad camera at all I just need a focus motor in the camera so I can buy third party glass and have it work across both cameras. My IR plans are on hold or maybe the D5600 will become that camera IDK.
My GAS manifests itself in that I want the a7r3, and no my a7 isn't going anywhere.

Yeah, I have a few bridges, too, Rich ... eleven, in fact, including both the Nikon Coolpix P-500 (the 510's immediate predecessor) and the P-600 (the successor to the P-500 series. I don't even list the bridges in my Signature because a) I ran out of space b) the folks here, on the whole - don't think much of bridges (other than the P-900 - because of its reach) as they only have that 1/2.3" sensor (or the 1" in some of the better ones, like the Sony Cybershot RX10 xx series) ... didn't know there was an EM in the Nikon/Nikkormat film series ... was that a variant of the FM, Rich?

Just how often do you see UFOs flying over?

Ran into the same problem, AP ... at that time I found out about the problem, my only Nikon DSLR was the D3200, and I had bought a couple of Tokina D Lenses on Close-out - the 16.5-135 AT-X, and the 35 Pro DX Macro. To my surprise - neither of them worked with the D3200 - as all Nikon bodies lesser than the Prosumer Series (at that time - the D90 and the D7000) worked only with AF-S Lenses. So I bought a used D90, but had to send it back at the end of the trial (the LCD was pockmarked, plus it had a nasty smell I couldn't get rid of) ... a little later on, I replaced it with a Refurb D7000 ... and finally, I could use both of those Tokinas I bought for a pittance. I've since bought both the D5300 - primarily, for its GPS, and then the D5500 - the first Nikon with a touch-screen! ... Considered the D5600 - but there's so little difference - I didn't bother. Also bought another used camera - the Pentax K-3 ... but that one also had to go back - for similar reasons. A few months later, decided to use the credit for a D7100. Reason ... the price of a new K-3 had risen off the map! ... So, I figured the D7100 was a better buy. So, that's how I wound up with 5 Nikon DSLRs!

Shoot a Nikon D810 and a Sony AR7II. Have a Sony a850, but don't use so much any more. Use a Sony Cyber-Shot 14.1 Carl Zeiss compact for family shots and my iPhon 8 for casual shooting. I too, wish i had kept my old Pentax and Cannon film cameras.

Not familiar with that Sony Cybershot you mentioned. I have the HX100V ... it's a 30x - 27-810 ... never bought a later one. Had always intended to. There's a later model which extends all the way out to 1565mm or something like that ... the H400, I think. Never got rid of cameras ... had a few lifted, though. My Canons (T3, EOS 60D, T4i) are my life's blood ... dunno what I'd do w/o them, RV. Still have my old Canon T70 film camera, too!

Three mirrorless (2 high end Olys, one for a long lens, one for a short lens when out and about, 1 Oly pen type for walkabout with 17mm F1.8). Two older DSLRs with all that F2 glass I invested in! Still make great pix.

Yeah? ... so, what of it? ... Nothing wrong with being a packrat, Bull ...

I got into Digital, in a big way, beginning in 2010 ... by the end of 2014 - I'd acquired a dozen DSLRs and another 11 Bridges ...

But, then, I stopped ... haven't bought another camera since the Sony a77 II ... haven't needed to - thus far ....

Although ... am thinking about one or two Full-Frames - the Pentax K-1, and the Sony a99 II ... and maybe even an MFT ...

We'll see ... possibly, by the time I'm ready to do that, there'll be yet another, even greater ....
