Pg. 30 Richard the Images I've seen of yours are more than excellent, especially when combined with the History behind them..I'm always thrilled to see your Archived Images and experience how things really were..I'm glad your RA isn't keeping you from posting them entirely..

You are so kind, Photogirl! I greatly appreciate your compliments and your concern.

OMG! What damage ! We were there years ago . They certainly rebuilt, but lots of churches were were damaged and rebuilt ..There are pictures in those churches ,of before and after reconstruction.Awesome to

see!

Judy, the ruins of those beautiful cities were horrendous to see, but the terrible losses of life were much worse. Tens of thousands of innocent men, women and children died in air raids in Britain, Poland, Holland, Russia and especially Germany. The records show that Britain's Royal Air Force dropped ten tons of bombs on Germany for every ton the Nazis dropped on England -- not counting what our Eighth Air Force added to the total. One of my elderly aunts timidly asked me, "We didn't bomb churches, did we?"

That's quite a compliment, tjim! I'm glad that I was able to save my archives so folks can see them 70 years later. Thank you.

From a recent photo challenge. It was seven days, a Black a nf white photo each day, no people, no explanation, and then tag someone each day. It was fun!
