Although I do have my digitized photos on my computer and backups, a great many get uploaded to Flickr. A lot of my photos are taken on planned tours and trips, and others traveling with me will want to see the pictures. I like the hierarchical structure possible with Flickr and now have about 41,000 photos hosted there. They are grouped into about 1000 Albums and those are further grouped in Collections. My Flickr page has about 50 high-level Collections, and persons interested in those subjects can "drill down" to eventually see specific photos. This is my Flickr entry page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/8712554@N02/collections.

Because I post photos to serve as memory joggers, I don't attempt to only post the "outstanding" photos (I don't have that many!), but include a great many just to document where I had been and what I had seen. Once I've got the pictures of a trip or event posted, I will advise the others involved how to see them. And I've been known to go back years later to review those photos (after all, they are the ones that had been post-processed and made more presentable).

My best ones I post to YouPic and to Flickr. The rest I store on my computer and I make my own cards to send to friends and family. I like the personal touch.

Ever try stock photo places? I'm making a few bucks on the side. Everything from scenery to farmyard stills. My top seller is a box turtle... go figure. Adobe Stock seems to yield the most sales. also: Istock, ShutterStock, FineArtAmerica.

When we travel, my wife shoots a couple hundred pictures a week while I average around 1,500. My wife has cheap prints (on sale at Snapfish) made from her pictures and puts them all, good or bad, into albums. I sort my exposures and edit in Lightroom, do touchup in Photoshop when necessary, and save everything in my triple redundant backup system (Working Drive 1, Drobo RAID system and hard drives rotated each week to a safe deposit box at my bank). I usually only print a few of the best for display.

I use to store all photos on my computer....computer crashed....lost everything...fortunately had them backed up...... but the back up restored pictures, not in the order I had them....

ever since then (about 8 years ago) I send every picture I have to off site storage "Smug Mug"....it is a great site.... Smug Mug is my photo album....I always have my entire album with me via an I phone App.....I have over 50,000 pictures there on smug mug.....
Smug Mug has a triple redundancy....meaning if they crash they have two more site that take the load

took me a few years to scan all photos I had in albums.... and I created about 25 feet of empty shelf space, as I trashed the albums....besides after a few years those hard copy photos (via lousy developing process) years old fade or bleed colors beyond recognition...

digital is the only way to go......
Smug Mug can do prints for you if you want.....
the key to Smug Mug is organization..... and you can keep changing organization as much as you want....even edit on Smug Mug via Pic Monkey....

sure it cost .....different fees for differ levels.....$30 per year up to $200 for professional level stuff...... I am no professional...

I share by Email attachment with a very few. I upload selected shots into Flickr albums and share via an email distribution list of 30 or so friends. I post on my Facebook, thus seen by about 200 Facebook "friends." The best I print at Costco up to 20 x 30", even 20 x 60" and put up on the walls. Running out of space, so starting to rotate them. I rarely mount, though I know how to do it. The 20 x 60 was an exception; I paid to have that one mounted professionally. Unmounted prints behind plastic or glass will show some unwanted reflections; I live with these as a tradeoff for the ease in changing prints. I save all non-deleted shots as four (4) copies, on one in-computer hard drive, and three external hard drives.

They are all saved (except for the culls) on my computer and two separate back-up hard drives. Around my home I have framed and mounted a couple of dozen of my favorites (re-assessed after each photo road trip). I have another dozen in our condo down in Southern California and swap those out about once a year. My wall displays look like the arrangement of RLSelpieSr above.

Competition ups your game quite a bit if you're interested in that, but it also causes you to shoot more photos.

Hi I have been using digital photo frames for a number of years . A large size on a table in my living room and a small size in my kitchen. Just load your best pics on a thumb drive and insert in frame. I have them marked by years, vacations ( trips), or just another with all time favorites. Also there are some new very large frames which mount one the wall that seem really nice. So by using this method I have a constant stream of favorite pictures to easily enjoy!

I've used a digital frame for all my family photos. The units are all on the small side though and somewhat low res.

I saved over a thousand shots, culled down from even more, on a recent Mediterranean cruise. My wife said, no more photo albums. What do you all do with your photos, after you enjoyed taking them and culling out the really awful "mistakes?"

I have over 600 photos on my basement walls. Still room for at least 300 more. They are mostly of my granddaughter, now 14, from the time she was born to the present.

I also put a lot on SmugMug and Facebook.
