Keep them on my computer and backed up. Some years ago I scanned some old family pictures and made one photo album for an uncle. (Some photos had been lost in a fire, so these were to replace those.) Also included a DVD of the same images so others could print or copy them.

My late Uncle gave me an idea I am going to initiate. He kept the best of the best over the year and he put it in an "annual" family album. Now his family can look back on the 20 years (20 albums) he left for them in photos. He had Alzheimer's so he would remind himself of what he did. It was therapeutic.

I have until recently, put all of my photos on CD/DVD. But todays FX images are memory hogs. I shot a wedding and took 800 photos. Those wouldn't fit on a DVD. So, I store them on a teraflop drive. Also buy thumb drives and load photos up for friends.

I saved over a thousand shots, culled down from even more, on a recent Mediterranean cruise. My wife said, no more photo albums. What do you all do with your photos, after you enjoyed taking them and culling out the really awful "mistakes?"

Post-process them* and post them in an online gallery. If the images are "in the cloud," you can view them anywhere in the world.

I also put files on a shared USB 3 drive plugged into my home router. From there, we can all view them, or display them on our smart TV.

Nobody prints much, now. Our photo albums are computers, smartphones, and tablets...

*crop, adjust color and brightness, sharpen, spot, retouch...

I mount my favorites on foam board in a variety of sizes. It's easy to do and you can learn how on you tube. Next you find a suitable wall somewhere in your home. Use Command poster stickers or something similar to attach them to the wall. I build a collage with some pictures touching and others having an irregular border between them. There are any number of ways to develop build your collage and organize it, or course.

The main point is that the foam board gives a very inexpensive way to mount the picture and display it. They are also ready for entering photo contests that require this type of mounting. Printing is much more enjoyable when you can do this simple mounting.

I pick out the best and and post process them the way I want, and then make up to 16x20 prints to be shown at my camera club.

Once all the blurred, accidental shutter releases, bad exposures, bad compositions, etc. have been eliminated, I dump the hundreds of JPEG shots (not the RAWs) on to my wife's computer so she can use what she likes for her travel site. The rest are stored at two different memory locations, I send some to my phone for personal and business purposes, and every once in a while print one for the wall.

Samsung Smart TVs can see shared network drives as sources (just as they can see HDMI and USB devices plugged into the TV). I share USB 3 drives over WiFi with my Netgear Nighthawk R7000 router...

When choosing a source to monitor, the R7000 is a choice, just like my cable box and DVD player.

We make into a book. For every trip and cruise, we have a book.

Put 'em on file DVDs. I use 4.7 GB dvds and monthly I'll cull out the shots I do not need and put the OK ones on the DVDs.

I use a filing system with two drawers and stackable. Each drawer holds 80 DVDs and each DVD holds over 300 images, so you may put a ton of images at your choosing. They have plastic sleeves that hold two DVDs. And also a file page that you can set up any way you would want.

It's called HIPCE one touch filing system. I get them locally at a Container Store Outlet.

First off, I never delete anything. Secondly, a good many of my photographs are printed, either 11x18 or 16x20 or larger. A good many folks seem to think that photography ends with a small image on a computer laptop screen. It's the print that counts.

With film I shot Kodachrome. What I do today is conceptually the same. It is the view of the past that counts.

The newest TVs have USB ports. I copy my 4K slideshow to a thumb drive and then plug the drive into the TV. Using the TV's remote, I play the slideshow.

I guess I'm worse than all of you. I take picture for my background on my computer and phone. Being a geek I have at least 2 and sometime 4 computers I use throughout the day. This is my first DSLR but I have many electrons tirelessly refreshing old point and shot pictures. I have a small file that contains the very special ones. Unfortunately it is a small special file because I've lost the other 40 special files. I will often fine a special file and enjoy looking at them again. Who says I don't have a filing method!!
