At least it works better than the paper cards in my wallet when I accidentally washed it...keep it as long as it works

Went swimming with my car key fob, in a pool with chlorine and everything. It worked fine for about a year, but batteries wear out faster. There is no corrosion evident. Maybe I should get an Acura battery next time.

Did you look at the inside? Is it bright, shinny, and clean? No soap residue left? A real photographer would never think of having only one SD card.

I find my SD cards are almost, but not completely, indestructible. They have also been washed, dropped, left on tables, ... and they always work.
BTW: Had you taken any "dirty" photos, they have all been cleaned up now.
Keep and use the card.

It is working, right? Then if it is not broken do not fix it.
I am surprised that the electrical contacts did not suffer. If you have a means of cleaning those electrical contacts I would suggest that you do it. Only time can tell if they are going to end up getting rust.
I would continue to use it since it is working and I do not see how it could possibly damage the camera and yes, buy a new one just in case you do not feel comfortable.
Things coming to worse at least you have a clean memory card.

Thanks. I agree, and I have several that I rotate and reformat in the camera between uses.

How much did this SD card actually cost you? If it was an inexpensive card it seems a lot of effort to have a protracted discussion about a card that likely has some damage or deterioration from being washed in soapy water. And if it's inexpensive why would you want to take the risk even if it seems to be working right now?

I washed and dried both an SD drive and a thumb disk over 3 months ago. Both are still working just fine.

Personally, I've started using cards like I used to use film - use once, then archive like a negative.
After all, a 64GB card for about 1500 raw shots costs about $30, or $.02 per shot. I have at least a chance to recover the raw files if my backups should fail.
I have some holes in my collection from when a disc went bad and truncated my image files. I inadvertently backed up the 0-size files, overwriting the good copies. A few months later, I found the problem, but I could only recover about half from cards I still had. Now the only reason I would reuse is if I run out in the field and forgot to bring a spare.

For the $20 or so, why take a chance. Sandisk has an advertisement where a 16 wheel truck runs over one of their cards and the thing continues to work. But when you take that once in a lifetime exposure, . . .

Everything in the card is completely inclosed in a mold of a plastic covering, and the only part of the circuit that is open are the contacts. As long as they are in good shape I see no trouble with the card.

Mark it and keep an eye on it’s functionality. Use it as long as it works but always have other cards available if it fails. SD and CF cards and USB Flash drives are tough.

Having clean contacts is important. I run mine through the washer at least once a week...
