I don't believe he is referring to a single incident but to all the people, worldwide, that may have been killed by a firearm on one particular day. wrr is not very bright.

You can't really believe that if guns are banned that criminals won't have them. All you would be doing is unarming the law abiding citizens. Would it make you feel safer knowing that the only people that have guns are the ones that would kill you because you elected to take away everyones gun that would help you? You dont have very good logic.

By taking away all guns the massacres that happen on a regular basis would not happen, that is my logic, as i said the criminals would be killing the criminals,

Pull your head outa that dark spot ED, it's exactly as I've stated, an average of 82 people a day are shot and killed in the USA. That's all I've said in this entire thread yet I've been called names, had my intelligence questioned, even been accused of frying my brain on hot peppers. Yet not one person has acknowledged that the fact is correct as stated.

Well, Frank...you don't NEED your camera, either. So just give it up.[/quote]

Last time I checked there was no one killed with a camera so your point is just silly.
However, being you're apparently an advocate please explain to me why you need a 30 round clip or armor piercing ammunition. Last time I checked the hunting laws at least in NYS say you can only have a five round clip to hunt and I've never seen a deer inside an APC.

And so it goes. As I said in the first post neither side is willing to compromise, hence nothing gets done.
Filled with views that are based upon television fantasies old men tell us how they need a gun to defend themselves accompanied by all the pablum that the NRA feeds them. Truth be told handguns are probably the least effective self-defense tool as the hit potential of even a well trained shooter is about 25% in actual conditions.
The other side totally against anything that is even related to firearms can't see that people enjoy shooting as a sport and think we can put the genie back in the bottle and collect the millions of weapons already in existence.
Folks, if we can't at least think about moving to the middle , we will never accomplish anything.

With that attitude, you wonder why there is no compromise. You are a true wonder.Don't you even get it?It isn't about the NEED of a gun;it's our constitutional RIGHT!!!

Wake up! If only criminals had guns they would be killing every one possible with no fear of anyone shooting back. You are just dreaming of a near perfect world where the bad guys only want what other bad guys have. Wakey, Wakey, and look around the the gangsters & gangbangers shoot inocent people all the time. It would be nice if we could keep gun out of crazy peoples hands. Good luck with that one.

Really? How many reputable historians cleave to this view?

I'm not saying you're wrong. Just that it's a theory I'd never heard before, despite more than a passing interest in history.

If more Americans carried weapons at all times there would be less to feel endangered by. It has been proven over and over and over in virtually every state in the U.S. - enact concealed carry and crime drops at least 25% immediately and stays that way.

I watched the new mayor of Chicago on TV today blathering on and on about what they're going to do about gang violence and their 275 deaths so far this year - 17 just last weekend. Nothing they have done works to stop violent crimes with illegal guns. And why? Chicago is in Illinois, the only state the country that does not have concealed carry. That right there says it all.

Don't worry, obama is working on an arms treaty with the UN. Only the bad guys will have guns soon. Governments aren't concerned with stopping crime, they just don't like an armed public. An armed public can fight back, and that makes them a danger to those who want total control. If 10% of the people in this country said NO, and decided to fight, that would be 35 million people. That's a scary thought to those who want to take away our freedom.
